In the summer of 2017, I was approached by my now Co-Director to partner in the production of an environmental documentary series, called "Coextinction." At the time, I was filming a Youtube video series for my company One Species on the Canadian West Coast. The journey brought us together and inspired us to dig deeper to capture and expose the extinction crisis there.
The series travels to Canada’s beautiful west coast, capturing an intimate and provoking story of extraordinary people fighting to save an extraordinary species, the Southern Resident Killer Whale. The 10 minute by 10 episode series will be filmed in August and released in early 2019.
I act as co-director and co-host for the film series, alongside a team of talented creatives and producers. We will be collaborating with some outstanding professionals in the field, including the David Suzuki Foundation, SeaLegacy, 4Ocean, Balu Blue Foundation and more. Our character lineup includes the likes of Cristina Mittermeier, Ken Balcomb, Alexandra Morton and more.
Currently, during the pre-production phase, I wear many hats. Though mainly, I am the lead creative and community manager. Some of my work for the film can be viewed below.
